Ravens Rook
Ravens Rook is a secluded, affordable get-a-way retreat on Lopez Island, in Washington State’s San Juan Island Islands. Lopez Island is approximately 80 miles northwest of Seattle and is accessible by ferry from Anacortes or by plane from several cities. The cabin and main house are rented separately. They both are located adjacent to beautiful 45 acre Shark Reef Sanctuary with walking trails through old growth woods to the shore with views of basking seals and the Olympic Mountains.
The Guest Cabin is particularly suited to families, as kids (and the young at heart) love the loft and living amongst the tree tops. However, no toddlers or pets. Ravens Rook is a northwest style post and beam cabin built in the 1980s, with plentiful skylights and windows, two queen beds, kitchen, bathroom with shower, and sitting room. There is an oil heating system for coziness no matter what the weather as well as a wood stove (wood supplied) for additional heat and ambiance. There is a small stereo with tape & CD, couch and dining table. Two bicycles are available for use by guests at no additional cost.
See the Contact page for more information on reservations and availability.
The Main House is a tastefully furnished unique octagon with water view, large yard and terraced gardens. This one of a kind 1300 square foot house is an artistic arrangement of two story living area with many south facing windows and wood beamed ceiling with large skylights. There are two queen bedrooms with views of the water. There is a study, as well as dining area, kitchen, living room and large deck. The toilet is separate from the “water room” which has a shower and a large claw foot tub. The main house is for adults only. The Main House is available only in the summer for specified dates.
